Our Worldwide Travel Assistance benefit is one you can offer to your clients at no added charge on our Personal Accident and Business Travel Accident plans.* Most travelers have had some anxious moments, wondering what would happen if they were injured far from home: How would they get adequate care? And how would they get home? CIGNA Secure Travel® is designed to alleviate those concerns. If a covered traveler is seriously injured in covered countries outside the U.S., we'll work to assure they receive proper care, and that they are returned home as soon as possible. Specific elements of the program include:
- medical referrals and prescription assistance
- medical evacuation and family transportation
- translation and interpretation services
- coverage for expatriates and foreign employees of U.S.-based firms
- assistance with lost or stolen items
- referrals to legal assistance
- emergency travel services, including cash and travel arrangements
